MEMBERS CHOICE AWARD For the last few years at our annual banquet we have had a president/directors choice award to recognize a junior member who has, for any number of reasons, stood out as a 'good citizen' of our club. For 2010 we will instead have a Members Choice Award. At each of our playdays there will be a ballot box at the announcers stand where members can nominate those they feel are a good example to others, and provide a sentence or two on why they feel a certain person deserves recognition. Votes will be tallied up, and an award provided to the winner at the annual banquet. For those who may not have the time at a playDay to fill out a ballot, nominations can also be emailed to brentmiller@shaw.ca
FUND RAISING RAFFLE We are putting together a raffle for fathers day. Tickets will be inexpensive and easy to sell. We would like to ask all members to help us sell the tickets, as the funds raised are needed to pay for the repair of the day stalls (to make all 20 of them usable) and if we sell all the tickets, we should also be able to build a much needed Round Pen. Books of tickets are available from James Fink, please contact him if you can sell a book or two! j.m.fink@hotmail.com
GROUNDS CLEAN UP - WORK PARTY DAY Thank you so very much to all the Members and families who came out to help. Because of the great turn out we finished everything we set out to do and a bit more! A special Thank-You to Trevor and Jan Vreeland, who brought their BBQ, and enough hamburgers and fixin's to feed us all!
